BPI Clarifies Statement, Updates Only Apply To Small Number Of Clients


The Bank of the Philippine Islands’ advisory on updated client information has generated quite a stir online, and rightly so, since there was a lot of confusion on how many people the advisory affected. The bank has since sent a statement via Facebook that clarifies the advisory, saying that only a “limited number” of individuals are affected by the advisory, and if you are affected by the issue, you should have gotten a message from the bank itself, either through email (check your spam folder) or text.

If you are one of the people affected, BPI has extended the deadline for compliance until September 30. You also either send the requirements via email to them as well as deliver it directly to the BPI branch closest to you for convenience.

    Eto pinagtaka ko noong una ko nabasa yung announcements ng BPI: Bakit BPI lang, may deadline pa ng Aug 31? Bakit yung BDO, Metrobank, etc. chill lang?

  2. Noong una Friday, Aug 26 announcement tapos deadline Wednesday Aug 31. Wow 3 days lang pano mga kasalukuyang nasa abroad? May kinalaman ba ito sa lumabas na balita ukol sa fake email from BPI? Bakit nga ba ibang banko wala pa ganitong announcement?

  3. Very very foul to post it Aug 26 when it’s a loong weekend plus salary days, people panicked. And they said that they extended it, so they’re webmaster should have updated info immediately on their website. Hay, bad damage control just like Cebu Pacific.

  4. To BPI people, You got us rushing to your branches for that info update. That announcement should have been out at least 2 weeks before the deadline AND NOT VERY FEW DAYS. And if you are saying that there is a MISTAKE, NEVER EVER MAKE THAT KIND OF MISTAKE AGAIN!!!!. THE NEXT TIME YOU SEND OUT AN ANNOUNCEMENT, READ IT A MILLION TIMES FIRST SO YOU WILL KNOW KUNG MAY MGA MALI SA ANNOUNCEMENTS NYO!!!!!
