5 Gaming Phones You Can Get for Less Than 10K

Budget mobile gaming has never been as easy to get into as it is now, and despite the crappy year we’ve been having thanks to human malware, this year is probably the best year ever in terms of budget phones that are capable of gaming.

To prove that, we’ve put together a list of phones that won’t break the bank but are still pretty capable when it comes to gaming. You don’t even have to wait for another sale – check out our curated list of budget gaming phones below Php 10K:

Redmi Note 9 – Php 7,990
The Redmi Note 9 comes packed with a promising camera if that’s a feature that you don’t want to skimp out on. Redmi’s Note 9 touts a 48-megapixel main camera and 13 MP in-display front camera. For gaming, it runs on a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, that comes shipped with either 3GB/64GB or 4GB/128GB memory configuration that makes it capable of running graphic-heavy games without much lag.

Realme C3 – Php 5,890
The Realme C3 is one of the first phones to sport a MediaTek Helio G70 processor, a feature that makes this budget phone designed with mobile gaming in mind. As per our gaming review of the C3, the phone performs best for most games on the medium to high frame-rate settings, which is quite promising for a phone at this price range.

The phone also has a roomy 5000mAh battery, though you’ll have to contend with slower charge times thanks to the lack of USB Type-C and speedy charging.

Redmi 9C – Php 5,999
The Xiaomi Redmi 9C comes with the Helio G35 processor that’s typical of most budget phones. The gaming experience on the Redmi 9C’s may vary depending on which of the two phone configuration you get. For casual gamers, we recommend the 2GB/32GB variant, and if you’re looking at more demanding games, the 3GB/64GB variant may be more suitable for games that require a bit more of your device.

A nice touch to the phone is its fingerprint scanner which is usually removed from most budget phones. It is worth noting that the Redmi 9C also makes for a capable distance learning device if that’s what you’re in the market for.

Huawei Y7P – Php 8,999
For its price range, this is an aesthetically pleasing phone with a plastic body that says premium. Take note though that the Y7P runs on a fairly dated Kirin 710F processor so manage your expectations accordingly. That being said, it’s still capable of running games such as PUBG, NBA2K20, and Mobile Legends on medium to low settings.

In addition, the Y7P comes with a decent performing 48 MP-Triple AI main-camera with an 8MP camera at the front, and a fingerprint scanner to boot, which as we mentioned earlier is not a typical feature present on budget phones. The only trade-off on this phone, with all its bells and whistles, is that you’ll need to get familiar with the Huawei Mobile app gallery in order to download your favorite apps. Otherwise, it’s a pretty competitive mobile phone for its price range.

Infinix Note 7 – Php 7999
If you’re looking for a bigger screen to play on, the Infinix Note 7 might be the right choice for you. This phablet sports a 6.95-inch IPS panel with loud stereo speakers to complement its display. Sadly, Infinix settles for just an HD+ resolution for display in spite of its size. This shouldn’t deter you from choosing the Infinix as the device runs on an Helio G70 processor that’s capable of delivering more than 40 FPS for games like NBA 2K20 at its highest settings. That is of course, if you can handle the amount of bloatware that the Infinix Note 7 comes with.

That aside, the Infinix Note 7 seems like an easy phone to lug around. It’s 5000 mAh battery keeps it going for about 12 hours just streaming Youtube videos, and takes about 3 hours to get from 0 to a full charge.
