Best Smartphone Under P20,000: Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Lite? Depends.

P16,990 to P18,990 (Sale Price Not Yet Revealed)

To be honest we feel that the realme 6 Pro is already a solid offer at P16,490. If you still want to spend a little more for incremental upgrades, you can consider the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Lite. You lose out on the 90Hz refresh rate but you get a bigger battery (5260mAh), an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor (vs the 720G processors of most devices previously featured on this list).

What’s the difference with the processors? To be honest… not much. Here’s an excerpt from a comparison done on beebom.com:

Now that we have taken a closer look at the internal specifications and benchmarks for both the Snapdragon 720G and Snapdragon 730G gaming-centric chipset, we can only reach a single conclusion. One is not better than the other. The Snapdragon 720G, as assumed, does not slot between the Snapdragon 730G and 712 instead, it’s similar to Snapdragon 730G in terms of overall CPU and GPU performance.

Snapdragon 730G does have an upper hand in the camera department, well, because of the more powerful ISP but otherwise, both the Snapdragon 720G and 730G are equally power-efficient. You can’t go wrong with a device powered by either of the two chipsets.
