The desktop PCs are part of the City of Manila’s Digital Literacy for All project

ACER shows its support for Manila’s Digital Literacy for All project through donating 42 desktop units to Manila’s public libraries. The project aims to give everyone the opportunity to learn digital skills that will help them both in their workplace and in their daily lives.

Upon the kick-off of the partnership at the Manila-Sacramento Friendship library, six Acer Desktops were allocated to the library’s multimedia section. The rest of the Acer Desktops will be allocated to the following public libraries:

  • San Nicolas Public Library
  • Tondo Public Library
  • Valeriano E. Fugoso Library
  • Main Library Reference Division
  • Kapitan Isidro Mendoza Public Library
  • Dapitan Complex Library
  • Arsenio H. Lacson Public Library
  • Bacood Public Library
  • Patricia Public Library
  • Manila-San Francisco Friendship Library

Aside from the computers, Mayor Isko also provided spaces inside these public libraries for group discussions, meetings, and other collaborative engagements.

“We are proud of Mayor Isko’s efforts to make digital education more accessible to Manileños and provide opportunities for growth and development through this partnership,” Acer Philippines Managing Director Manuel Wong said.
