LG Unveils their Newest OLED TV at the National Museum of Natural History

The Perfect Venue

The moment I stepped out of the car and gazed at the building, I was immediately amazed by the museum’s facade.  It’s hard not to be with the towering pillars and imposing neoclassical look. Once I entered the building, it got even better.  I was welcomed by the Tree of Life, the most recognizable landmark in the newly opened National Museum of Natural History. It provided a magnificent backdrop for the unveiling of LG’s most stunning TV to date.

The Tree of Life.

LG ambassadors Stephanie Zubiri-Crespi and James Deakin graced the event in Filipiniana.

The LG OLED Wallpaper TV W8 is a Work of Art

With its paper-slim panel that’s only 2.57mm thin and 77 inches wide, the TV blends very well in the museum.  It is able to showcase incredibly clear, bright and sharp images because of its deep black levels and bold contrasts.  It is the perfect canvas for the work of underwater photographer and videographer, Noel Guevara, that features the exceptional diversity of the color-washed marine life and coral reefs at Balicasag Island in Bohol.  The video was commissioned by LG for the museum as part of their CSR commitment to education. The TV is equipped with LG’s a9 processor, enabling hidden details to be seen with minimal noise. The OLED W8 also has AI functionalities through the ThinQ platform so it responds to numerous voice commands.

To help Filipinos truly appreciate the beauty of the country’s flora, fauna, and marine life, LG donated one 65-inch OLED TV, one 55-inch OLED TV, and one 55-inch UHD TV to the National Museum of Natural History.

PS: Museum Entrance is Free

The skeleton of Lolong, a male saltwater crocodile that was 6.17 meters long and weighed 1,073 kg!

Because I had a very good experience at the National Museum of Natural History, I urge you all to go and visit when you can.  There’s much to learn so we can treasure the beauty of the Philippines even more. Also, check out Noel Guevara’s video shown on the LG TVs while you’re there.  It is a sight to behold. Entrance is free so all you have to do is schedule your trip!
