It has been a few days since I got home from Seoul, Korea for the LG Innofest and I still can’t shake the vision of my #DreamHome from my mind. Let me share this dream with you. Welcome to LG’s AI Home.
The Living Room
The first thing that greets you the moment that you enter is a nice, comfortable couch directly facing the highlight of the living room – LG’s W8 OLED TV. This model not only has enhanced image rendering and impressively accurate colors from any viewing angle but it has another interesting feature – it is AI enabled. This means that you can talk to the TV and it will answer accordingly. Want to know the weather before leaving the house, ask the TV and it will give you the weather forecast. Want to know the score of the basketball game without having to change channels, the TV can provide that information as well. Talk about a smart TV that’s good looking too!
The Kitchen
They say that the kitchen is the heart of every home and in the heart of the kitchen is the refrigerator. We open our ref numerous times during the day and every time we do that, cold air escapes, making our food susceptible to spoilage. LG’s InstaView Refrigerator minimizes the number of times we open the refrigerator door because it allows us to see what’s inside simply by knocking. This means that our food stays fresh for longer and we get to save energy and electricity too!
The Laundry Area
Doing laundry is one of the most backbreaking chores at home. LG’s TWINWash can significantly shorten laundry time as it allows 2 loads to wash simultaneously. Users have the option of loading regular items on the main washer and the delicates on the smaller one. All of a sudden, laundry day ain’t so bad.
The Bathroom
The LG Innofest showed us that every room of a house can be made smarter. Imagine walking into a bathroom with the lights turning on and the toilet seat lifting without you having to press a button. Even the bathroom mirror will automatically light up when you check out your reflection or put on makeup. Never leave your light on by accident ever again!
The Bedroom
While the bedroom looks pretty normal, if not just more organized than the usual, a closer look reveals that it is full tech that any homeowner would surely enjoy. There are multiple screens that can be used for work or for gaming, an air filter to sift through all the dust and allergens and an inverter air conditioner which is just as we need these hot summer months in the Philippines.
The really cool thing is that all these tech can be controlled by Cloi. Think of her as your home manager that connects all these cool appliances. You can even preset commands so you can customize your home to your liking. You’ll find Cloi not only efficient but very cute too! See how she responds to touch? It’s almost as if she’s bowing to say hello and acknowledging that she’s ready to do the household managing for you.
