Google Assistant will soon work as a Translator

During IFA 2017, a lot of companies announced that some of their upcoming connected hardware products will support Google Assistant. This week during the Developer Days conference at Krakow, Poland, Google demonstrated some of their improvements for the virtual companion.

Google Assistant will be able to Translate Different Languages

Using it is as easy as saying “Ok, Google, be my (insert language) translator.”  Google Assistant will then translate your words and say them in your chosen language and visually show it to you as well.  This can be very helpful for people traveling to countries where they do not speak the language.

Google Assistant will be able to Answer Questions Better

Many of us turn to Google to help us remember titles of movies we’ve already seen.  As an example, Assistant was asked the name of the Tom Cruise movie where “he plays pool and while he plays pool he dances.” It answered, The Color of Money before giving more information about the film.

Google is also working on how the Assistant can isolate and understand a person’s voice even in a noisy environment. It will be able to answer inquiries faster and will use Google Search effectively when asked more complex questions.

There’s no exact date as to when these improvements will be rolled out but our guess is that it will be very soon.
