Grab Is Suspending GrabShare Because Of COVID-19

Preventative measures for the new virus

Grab is helping to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus by suspending its GrabShare service starting tomorrow, March 13 at noon.

The suspension covers both Metro Manila and Cebu, and in support of the social distancing recommendation of Philippine health officials to combat the spread of the disease.

Social Distancing, simply put, is staying away from other people in order to avoid catching or spreading the virus. It’s one of the methods that health officials say will help in stopping the spread of COVID-19, which has recently been called a “global pandemic” by the World Health Organization.

Grab’s other services will still be available, and the company says that they’ll reinstate the GrabShare service once the public health situation de-escalates.
