Facebook group wants to purchase food orders cancelled by clients

It a hassle when customers cancel orders through apps like Food Panda, GrabFood, Lalamove and Angkas because it’s the riders that’ll have to pay for that out of their own pockets. Cancelling food orders during the enhanced community quarantine sucks even more because orders aren’t as plentiful, and these riders are literally risking their lives to deliver food to you.

Enter Facebook group Order Hero, which tries to connect food delivery riders to new customers for cancelled food orders. The idea is simple – riders with cancelled food orders post in the public group with the cancelled orders (that they’ve already paid for), the price with the receipt and their current location). People who are interested in picking up the orders simply have to reply to the post.
