OPPO F3 FC Barcelona Limited Edition Unboxing, Hands-On Review: 18 Karat Gold, Baby!

OPPO Teams Up with the Legendary Team from La Liga

OPPO has released a bunch of limited edition OPPO F3 smartphones lately. You’ve got the one from their brand ambassador, Sarah G, and the most recent one was launched with the opening of their concept store in SM Aura, the Red Limited Edition phone. If you happen to miss out on one of the videos we posted on Facebook recently, it looks like the Chinese company has once again teamed up with one of the most famous football clubs in Europe, FC Barcelona, giving us yet another limited edition phone for one of their Selfie Experts.

Today, we’re going to show you what comes inside the box and go over the phone a little bit, so you know what to expect if you happen to win the giveaway for this device but first, a recap of the phones specs.

What’s in the Box?

In terms of its packaging, not much has changed with this limited edition phone, aside from the fact that it’s rocking the colors of FC Barcelona. You’ve got the same attention to detail we’ve come to know and love from the Chinese brand with everything in its little compartments and the device nicely tucked in into its little cutout.

The box contains the unit itself, earphones, micro USB cable, a wall charger, documents, and a special rubberized case that has the autographs of some of the club’s more notable members.

Initial Impression: All that Glitters Is Gold

As far as the phone goes, it’s pretty much the limited edition phone in red, but with one key difference. While the OPPO F3 in red also had bits of gold to outline its camera module and antenna lines, this one takes it a step further by placing the team’s crest on the back of the phone and it’s actually made out of 18 karat gold.

The device is still rocking a metal unibody build with curved corners and edges making it feel good in the hand and in the pocket.

Aside from gorgeous red color and its golden accents, the phone also has custom themes that show of the brand’s love for their partner in Spanish football team.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an OPPO F3 without the dual front cameras, so you can have a wider field of view for taking selfies with friends or selfies with yourself and an actual view if you happen to be traveling alone.

If you’re scared that the golden crest of the team may draw unwanted attention, you could also cover it up with the special edition case that we mentioned earlier. The case is built differently from the usual case we’re used to seeing from the Chinese brand and we really wish that they could give their regular units a similar case of this quality as well.

It looks like it can take more of a beating than the usual jelly case that comes with the F3, plus those autographs on its lining should be a major plus for those who are fans of the squad.

That’s pretty much it for your quick look at the OPPO F3 FC Barcelona Limited Edition phone. They will not be selling this unit here, so if you do want to own one, you can try your luck by joining our giveaway. You have till next week to enter, so best of luck to all of you.
