Globe Telecom is focusing on expanding its services to underserved areas in Visayas and Mindanao in 2021. The telco has already modernized its network in six locations within Cebu City, including areas in Labangon, Guadalupe, and Kalunasan, which resulted in significant improvements in upload and download speeds in six locations.

The company said customers in Sitio Kamanggahan in Monterrazas now experience an average upload speed of 22.8 Mbps and download speed of 47.8 Mbps from nothing at all, while customers in Celestial Garden have recorded upload speeds of 21.24 Mbps and download speed of 15.59 Mbps.

Aside from Cebu City, Globe is in the midst of completing various network modernizations in Davao City, Cagayan de Oro City, Cebu City, Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City, Bacolod City, Iloilo City, and Boracay in Aklan until the end of this year.
