Acer’s Asia Pacific Predator League 2018 has finally come to an end, and after hundreds of games and a plethora of teams, Geek Fam from Malaysia has managed to take the top spot.

Composed of Skemberlu, March, ChYuan, and Oli dan Playhard, Geek Fam will be taking home $50,000 of the $150,000 prize pool in the tournament. Indonesian team BOOM.ID takes second place and $25,000, while Philippine team Quid Pro Quo will be taking home $15,000.

Acer’s own take on professional eSports was launched last October 2017, and primarily focuses on empowering amateur gamers to showcase their skills on the world stage. In the Philippines. the Predator League 2018 eliminations saw around 127 local teams participating, with all elimination legs done in partnership with THENET.COM (TNC), their eSports partner.

The preliminary round of APAC Predator League 2018 has run since October 2017 with great enthusiasm from gamers as evidenced by the high number of participants, reaching around 1,197 eSports teams from India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. 2019 will see a bigger Predator League as the tournament extends to reach 14 APAC countries, with final rounds to be held in Bangkok, Thailand.
