We braved Friday’s weather conditions and hellish traffic to check out SM SuperMalls’ Pokemon Go Lure Party at the SM Mall of Asia. The Nationwide Lure Party kicked off at 5PM at the Mall of Asia Wishing Fountain and to signify that the first of many lures have been dropped, the huge globe at roundabout was turned into a gigantic PokeBall. The Lure Party spanned across 50 malls in SM’s network; making it the country’s first and biggest Pokemon Go Lure Party.
We arrived a little early to the party and already noticed a lot of trainers in the area; mainly due to the fact that there are about 12 to 15 PokeStops with Mall of Asia and the nearby Bay Walk. Here’s a tip if you’re braving the rainy weather and heading to Mall of Asia this weekend, the sweet spot for PokeStops is at the Music Hall which has 3 PokeStops around it and there’s always someone generous enough to Lure the area as well.
We also heard that droves of Pokemon Go enthusiasts hit up SM North EDSA to party it up with their fellow trainers. If you missed Friday’s festivities, don’t worry as the good times continue to roll this weekend as SM SuperMalls has also decided to extend the Lure Party all the way to Sunday, August 14.
See you out there, guys! Stay warm and dry as you catch ’em all!
