Unbox founder and EIC takes on the Ice Bucket Challenge!
Carlo Ople, Unbox founder and EIC was nominated to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge earlier today. But instead of dumping ice-cold water on his head, Carlo has decided to donate money to the ALS Association, to support further research into the debilitating, heart-breaking disease.
ALS, or more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a neurodegenerative disease that has a high mortality rate (only 4% survive longer than 10 years) and slowly robs suffers of voluntary movement in their body.
Carlo has challenged his partners in Di9it: Ronald Barreiro, Alex Syfu, & Eugene Demata, as well as fellow technology bloggers Abe Olandres, Founder of Yugatech, and Mark Milan Macanas, founder of Techpinas.
