City of Manila to Distribute Tablets, Laptops, Pocket WiFis to Students and Teachers

As school is slated to start on October 5, LGUs like the City of Manila are prepping up for the upcoming school year. For Mayor Isko Moreno’s initiative, they will be providing teachers and students with tablets, laptops, and pocket WiFis to aid them for distance learning.

In the posts shared on Moreno’s official Facebook page, the items that they will be distributing include Cherry Mobile’s Magnum 8 and 10 tablets and Avita laptops. Aside from the devices, the City of Manila will be providing pocket WiFi devices to teachers and SIM cards to students with 10GB monthly data allocation.

“This effort of your city government is to help every student and teacher to continue studying and adapt to the new normal of education. Ito ay tulong na rin natin sa mga magulang para maibsan ang kanilang hirap na mapaaral ang kanilang mga anak,” Moreno said in his post.
