vivo is adding another budget mid-range device to their 2021 lineup, dubbed the Y31 (2021). An updated version of the original 2015 model, the Y31 (2021) gets an updated look, inheriting the familiar design elements used on the V20 series and X50 series.
Like its more expensive siblings, the Y31 (2021) uses a frosted texture for the back panel, making it look premium while being smudge resistant at the same time. The Ocean Blue color has a very subtle gradient that is pleasing to the eyes.
With that familiar module, you get a triple rear camera setup, which is led by a 48-megapixel AI camera. This is the first time vivo is using a 48-megapixel snapper on a Y-series phone, and given the performance of V-series phones that use the same camera (V15, V17 Pro, and V19 Neo specifically), we expect the Y31 to have a much better camera performance compared to its predecessors.
If that’s not enough, the Y31 is one of the better Y-series phones from vivo as it will be using a Snapdragon 6-series processor for better overall performance. Speaking of performance, the Y31 is also getting a Full HD+ display, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a large 5000mAh battery with 18w USB-C charging.
You should not worry about the charger, as the Y31 comes with an 18w wall charger in the box, along with a USB-C cable, headset, silicone case, and the usual documentation.
Is that enough to get you curious about the Y31? Stay tuned to the site as we get to know more about vivo’s upcoming budget mid-range phone as the brand releases more detail about its eventual arrival to the Philippines.
