What Telcos in the PH Need to Do to Be The Best

Smart changed their logo, launched the “Own It” and “Welcome Change” campaign. Globe unveiled their Iconic Store and announced a lot of partnerships. Both are claiming to be leading the “Digital Shift” and creating a “Digital Nation”. However, what does it really mean to be digital? What does it really take to be the best operator? For us it’s not really about promos or partnerships. It’s something a little more basic.

Here’s our simple take on it in just 4 minutes. Let us know what you guys think in the comments!

  1. tama naman eh….. ayusin nila ang service nla para makaakit pa ng maraming subscriber.. hindi yung puro palabas lang sa commercial tapos pagdating sa actual wala naman……. 1 or 2 mbps is good enough for mobile……basta ba consistent eh…..

  2. I would rather choose a speed of atleast 1mb with widest coverage of signal…. di kasi kmi mka connect kapag nasa mountain areas….

  3. “1mbps sapat na”

–linyahan ng mga pinoy na sa fb/youtube/google/unbox.ph lang ang alam na site.

di ba uso sa inyo ang cloud storage huh?

  4. Okay lang sakin ang 1-2 mpbs na speed basta yun ang minimum… And freakin stop comparing oursleves with the likes of Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Singapore… We are a freakin archipelago, we barely can get consistent connection and people want 15mpbs min… Daming alam ba…. 1mpbs should be the minimum..

  5. Well said, Sir Carlo! Nice one! Naaliw lang ako sa TtS sa video.

Focus ng mga yun- custom irony
    4g- virgin
    Promos- problems

Haha!

  6. To begin with, Digital Shift has quite a few meanings depending on the area of concern. But every meaning boils down to a common reference, that is transformation to digital.

Sa totoo lang, matagal na tayong gumagamit ng digital technology pero may halong analog at some points of the process. And base on the reports, these telcos are going into full digital from analog conversion to encoding and transmission. Well, sa transmission, analog pa rin with digital information.

Ang mahalaga dito, service ng mga telcos. I really, really want their services to improve. Sa bahay ko lang, pawala-wala signal ko kahit 400 meters (more or less) lang layo ko sa cell site ng smart. And even with full bar signal, ang hirap tumawag or mag send ng text specially at night, 7:00pm-10:00pm.

I don’t want these telcos to make promises cause their promises were made to be broken. All I want from them is to act now and improve their services. WE WANT RESULTS AND WE WANT MUCH, MUCH BETTER SERVICES.
