Microsoft is following Apple’s footsteps

Microsoft has announced that their next operating system, Windows 10, will be a free upgrade to Windows 8.1 users and Windows Phone 8.1 users. It’s obvious that the firm from Redmond has seen the light and are following Apple’s lead in offering the base operating system for free. (Legal) Windows 7 users also won’t be left out, as you’ll also be able to get a free upgrade to Windows 10 if you it within the first year. This is an immense step forward for Microsoft and their new operating system – let’s hope that they sustain the momentum.
