Feeling helpless against the pandemic caused by COVID-19? Well, there’s actually a way you can help – NVIDIA is appealing to people with gaming-capable PCs to download the folding@home application to donate their PCs spare clock cycles to advancing our knowledge of the coronavirus.

The program essentially links PCs that are connected to it into a vast, international network of distributed processing power to work out complex calculations that can be used for combating the virus.
The program has been in existence for a long time, and today it’s being utilized to simulate “potentially druggable protein targets from SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) and the related SARS-CoV virus (for which more structural data is available)”.
