There are a lot of great phones you can buy under 10K

2019 is starting to become a truly stacked year for budget phones. We’re not even past the first half of the year yet there’s already a plethora of great budget smartphones to choose from.

There’s a lot of great phones to chose from if you have 10K burning in your pocket, so here’s 10 of them in no particular order:

Xiaomi Redmi 7

5,890 2GB/16GB, Php 6,490 3GB/32GB

Whenever we put together lists of great budget smartphones that you can buy, there’s always multiple Xiaomi phones on that list. The Redmi 7 is a great budget phone if you’re truly strapped for cash, sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 octa-core processor plus expandable storage up to 32GB. You can opt for the 2GB/16GB version if you’re truly destitute, but we recommend dropping additional cash for the 3GB/32GB variant.

Realme C1

5,490 2GB/16GB (Lazada Flash Sale, every Wed. of May)

While the Realme C1 might be the oldest device in this list, it’s still a good phone to pick up if you’re looking for a solid budget device. The Realme C1 has the legs to go the distance if you’re looking for a phone that lasts more than a day on a single charge.

Lazada regularly slashes the price of the Realme C1 down to Php 5,490 every Wed. this May, so that’s a good place to grab the phone if you want it.

Nokia 3.1 Plus

Php 8,990 3GB/32GB

HMD Global dropped the ball with their first Nokia-branded Android One phone, but the company quickly realized their mistake and launched a better version soon after. The Nokia 3.1 Plus is a big-screen budget phone for people who want a taste of pure Android, thanks to the phone’s Android One pedigree.

Samsung Galaxy A20

Php 9,990 3GB/32GB

Korean giant Samsung is looking to recapture the budget market that it ceded to its Chinese rivals with a revamped lineup of budget phones.

While the Galaxy A20 doesn’t have the same top-notch processor that other phones in its price range have, it tries to make up for it via that gorgeous Super AMOLED display and its decent dual cameras. If you’re a Samsung die-hard and want to get a decent, budget phone from the brand under Php 10K, this is the phone to get.

Realme is really looking to challenge Xiaomi’s hold on the sub 10K market in the Philippines thanks to their Realme 3. The phone has a good mix of hardware, as well as a starting price of Php 6,990. That Helio P60 processor is powerful enough for most gamers, and the phone’s cameras are excellent low-light shooters as well.

The second Huawei phone on our list is also one of the prettiest. The Y7 Pro 2019 has a large display, a gorgeous looking finish, decent camera as well as a massive 4000mAh battery that lasts literal days before it has to be charged.

ASUS ZenFone Max M2

Php 8,995 3GB/32GB

Speaking of phones with big batteries, ASUS’ ZenFone Max M2 might also be something you’d be interested in if long run times are your thing. The phone might have a slightly dated design and larger than usual notch, but those things are offset by the Snapdragon 632 octa-core processor, decent cameras, 4000mAh battery and better than average battery life.

Samsung Galaxy M20

Php 10,590 3GB/32GB

OK, so we’re bending our Php 10K below rule with the Galaxy M20, but since the phone regularly goes on sale for Php 10,590 during flash sales, we thought to include it in the list too. The phone has decent specs for the price, though Samsung’s AMOLED magic gets replaced by a TFT display to keep costs down.

The main reason you’d want the phone? That gorgeous exterior and huge 5000mAh battery, the biggest in this particular list.
