Last week ZTE announced their power-packed Axon smartphone for the US, and naturally the company had a similar device to launch in their home country. There’s a few differences in the Axon launched in China though – it loses the QHD panel that’s present in the US version, replaced by a fingerprint scanner embedded on the back. Aside from that, the Axon phone launched in ZTE’s domestic market is similar to the US variant.

Aside from the fingerprint scanner, the Axon Luxe can also be unlocked via two other biometric options – via an eye scan and through the user’s voice. The Axon Lux also sports a whopping 128GB of expandable storage, perfect for people looking for a multi-media powerhouse.

ZTE’s Axon Mini is a shrunken version of the flagship, sporting a 5.2-inch AMOLED display. Unfortunately that’s the only details revealed about the phone thus far, though we’re assuming that it’ll sport lower specs compared to the full-sized Axon. ZTE claims that the Axon Mini is the world’s first phone that uses force touch technology that first appeared on Apple’s MacBook.

Finally, ZTE also announced the Axon Watch, a new smartwatch that runs the Tencent OS developed by ZTE and Chinese mobile messaging giant Tencent. The Axon Watch sports a 1.4-inch display with Gorilla Glass protection and a sapphire coating, plus the usual IP67 rating.

As far as prices go, the regular Axon with the full HD display will be priced at RMB 2,699 or around 20K, while the 128GB Axon Luxe is set to be priced at RMB 3888, or around 28K. No prices have been set for the Axon Mini and the Axon Watch.
