5 Xiaomi Phones The Official Xiaomi Store Will Possibly Sell

The excitement is real

We could just count the days before the first-ever official Xiaomi Store in the Philippines will open its doors. Because of the hype and excitement, we have a rough guess of Xiaomi phones they will sell. Check out our picks:

Mi A1

Xiaomi’s only Android One phone (which is essentially a Mi 5X) will be a sure hit to Pinoys as it gives them a pure and unadulterated Android experience without breaking the bank. The official Mi store here in the Philippines has the Mi A1 available for pre-order for Php 10,990, which is indeed a tempting price.

Mi MIX 2

As the phone that made the skinny bezel a big thing, we will be happy if this Phillipe Starck-designed Xiaomi phone makes it to our shores locally. We have tried the Mi MIX 2 a few months ago, and it is definitely a statement phone with that gorgeous near bezel-less display and glossy back.

Mi Max 2

Big-screened phones are becoming common nowadays, and the Mi Max 2 offers BOTH a big display (at 6.44 inches) and a big battery (at 5300mAh). Pair that with a power-efficient Snapdragon 625 processor, and the Mi Max 2 will definitely last you for at least two days before you need to juice up.

Redmi 5 Plus / Redmi Note 5

The awaited successor to the phenomenally popular Redmi Note 4X is still an impressive phone for its price. We got our hands on one last month, and we are impressed at how battery efficient the Redmi 5 Plus is. In spite of sporting a bigger and trendier 18:9 display, the Redmi 5 Plus lasted a good 12 and a half hours with PCMark’s battery test.

Redmi Note 5 Pro

The Pro version of the Redmi Note 5 is interesting for a couple of reasons: Aside from its dual rear camera setup and selfie-centric front camera, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is the first phone to use a Snapdragon 636 processor, which claims to be as much as 40% faster than the Snapdragon 630. Pair that with an interesting SRP in India, and we really, really hope the official Xiaomi store will sell the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
