A Wild LG Q6 Appears in Manila!

The budget version of the G6 does not fail to impress either.

While we are waiting for the formal launch of flagship smartphones like Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8Asus’ Zenfone 4, and LG’s V30, one of our team members spotted LG’s Q6 in a store in Alabang Town Center. In case you are wondering, the Q6 is marketed as a “mini G6”.

The phone is deserving of its “mini G6” moniker: The Q6 has the G6’s FullVision display (in a smaller size, at 5.5 inches), and also has an aluminum body. While there’s only a single rear camera, and no IP certification or fingerprint scanner, you have a wide-angle front camera, 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 435 processor, and Android Nougat out of the box.

LG Q6 specs

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor
  • 3GB RAM
  • 5.5-inch full HD+ FullVision IPS display (2160 x 1080 resolution)
  • 32GB of storage expandable via microSD
  • 13-megapixel rear camera, AF, LED flash
  • 5-megapixel wide angle selfie camera
  • Dual SIM
  • 3G, LTE
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS
  • 3000mAh battery
  • Android Nougat

How much is the Q6, you ask? As our Unbox team member found out, it will be priced at Php 13,990. Do you think it’s a fair price, given the specs? Will it fare well against similar phones in the same price range, like OPPO’s F3, Huawei’s GR5 2017, Vivo’s V5, and Samsung’s Galaxy J7 Prime? Share your comments!
