AKG K3003 Earphones Unboxed

Finally... the AKG K3003 unboxed!

Unboxing the AKG K3003 Reference Class 3-Way Earphones

We currently have a review unit of the AKG K3003 Reference Class 3-Way Earphones courtesy of AKG Philippines. This is probably one of the best universal earphones ever made in the world. Like what we said in our previous post, what makes the AKG K3003 special are the hybrid drivers (one dynamic and two balanced-armature) in each earphone. What’s the result? Unrivaled sound quality. I’ve only been using this for 3 days but I can’t get enough of ’em! The only scary thing about this product is the price tag. It sells for over Php50,000+! Definitely not for the casual music lover. This is more for audiophiles with a serious budget and spoiled ears.

Let’s get to the unboxing! The AKG K3003 comes in a premium solid gray box. You slide out the carton with the brand and pop up the box open. The lid is actually magnetized (cool). Once you open it you’ll find a clean black wiping cloth. When you remove it you’re greeted by the AKG K3003 and a genuine leather carrying case. The unboxing doesn’t stop there though as there are actually three layers of stuff in the package! Check out our photos below for more details. Don’t forget to read the captions!

Editor’s Note: Btw, apologies for the quality of some of the pics. Too excited to use ’em so the unboxing was rushed, haha!

AKG K3003 Unboxing: First Layer

What's on the first layer? Genuine leather case and the earphones!
The in-line remote control and mic is also highlighted here. Looks very sleek and classy! It's almost like jewelry for audiophiles, haha!

AKG K3003 Unboxing: Second Layer

You can also change the sound by using the sound filters. Bass Boost, High Boost, and the Reference.

AKG K3003: Initial Impressions

The best earphones I've ever used. Period. End of story.

The AKG K3003 definitely lives up to the hype. You will hear sounds that you’ve never heard before even if you’re using earphones in the Php10,000-Php20,000 price range. This is especially true if you prefer tracks that are more mid-centric. I’ve never heard Jason Mraz and Sting sound so good in my life!

The full review of the AKG K3003 should be coming this week or at the very latest the week after. ‘Till then it’s HEADPHONES ON, WORLD OFF mode for me with the AKG K3003. This is a limited time engagement with these beauties (I have ’em for two weeks) and I want to make sure I make the most of our time together! <3
