Alleged Huawei P40 Render Reveals New Camera Bump, Pill-Shaped Display Cutout

Huawei is going with dual front cameras

While we are months away from the official launch of the P40 series, 91Mobiles shared what appears to be an official render of the P40.

Decked in black, the P40 will have a flat display with a pill-shaped cutout housing two cameras and a rectangular camera module housing three cameras. Design-wise, the P40 looks very similar to the Honor V30. Based on the text beside the camera module, we expect the P30 to have a main camera, ultra-wide-angle camera, and telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. There’s no earpiece on top of the display, so the P40 might use a similar tech found on the P30 Pro. The headphone jack is nowhere to be found, though there are no renders yet of the top portion.

Specs-wise, not much is known about the P40 save for a Kirin 990 processor and Android 10 out of the box. As for its Pro sibling, the P40 Pro is rumored to have a quad rear camera setup comprising of a 64-megapixel Sony IMX 686 sensor, 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, 12-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, and ToF sensor.
