And you thought 6GB of RAM on a smartphone was overkill?
There’s no shortage of OnePlus 5 rumors cropping up online. Yesterday, we saw an online retailer possibly out the price for the upcoming device from the Chinese company. The OnePlus 3T has a generous of RAM on it already; with a whopping 6GB to go along with its 2016 flagship level processor — the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821. Today, a screenshot of the phone’s “About” screen has been making its rounds online and it looks like OnePlus is upping the ante again; as the screenshot suggest that the OnePlus 5 will have 8GB of RAM.
This isn’t really new news, as the rumor mill has already churned out the possibility of the OnePlus 5 having this much RAM, but there hasn’t been any confirmation of what the final spec sheet of the new “flagship killer” will be and the screenshot you see above could be what we’ve been looking for at least that part of the device’s internals. Of course, the screenshot is in Chinese, so someone might just be taking us on a major loop.
In case you need a refresher for the OnePlus 5’s rumored spec sheet, here it is once more.
