Alleged Xiaomi Mi 6C Spotted on GFXBench

A peek at the mid-ranged Xiaomi Mi 6 C?

Xiaomi released the Mi 6 last month and, to no surprise, it was another bang-for-your-buck device from the Chinese brand that we wish would get to our shores in an official capacity soon; you can, of course, purchase it through Widget City and other stores. Xiaomi is no stranger to releasing multiple variants for their devices and it looks like one of them may have been outed via GFXBench.

A device called “Xiaomi Jason” showed up on the benchmarking tool recently and many speculate that this maybe the mid-ranged variant of the Xiaomi Mi 6 — the Xiaomi Mi 6C.

Xiaomi Mi 6C Rumored Specifications

  • 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor
  • 6GB of RAM
  • Adreno 512 GPU
  • 5.1-inch Full HD display; 1920 x 1080 resolution
  • 64GB of storage
  • 4G, LTE
  • 12-megapixel rear camera
  • 4-megapixel front camera
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC
  • GPS
  • Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI

If this alleged device is indeed the Xiaomi Mi 6C, then we’re looking at some compelling hardware here.

It’s getting the recently released Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor that clocks in at 2.2GHz, which is paired up with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It also looks like we won’t be getting a dual camera setup for the Mi 6C, but it will have one of the 12-megapixel rear shooters on the Mi 6; the selfie shooter also gets a bump down from 8-megapixels to 4-megapixels.

There is, of course, no official word on pricing just yet but, since the Xiaomi Mi 6 is priced at roughly Php 18,000 for the base model and we’re getting mid-ranged specs, we don’t expect the price to breach the Php 15,000; take that and the rest of the specs you’re seeing with a grain of salt though.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for more news about the Xiaomi Mi 6C, so stay tuned.
