Altec Lansing Launches New Life-proof Bluetooth Speakers

Rugged speakers for your life

Love Bluetooth speakers but hate babying them? Altec Lansing may have the product for you then – the company has officially launched their new “life-proof” Bluetooth speakers at an event today. The new speakers, which include the Life Jacket, Mini Life Jacket and Mini H20 speakers are rugged enough to withstand the abuses of daily life.

The flagship Life Jacket is capable of pumping out incredibly loud sound out of its dual 2-inch neodymium drivers and passive bass radiator, and can be paired via Bluetooth and NFC. The batteries for this rugged speaker are rated for 16 hours of non-stop playing. Obviously since the Life Jacket is advertised as being “life-proof”, it has an IP67 water resistance rating, and even floats if dunked in water – perfect for pool parties.

The Mini Life Jacket is a smaller version of its big brother and packs a smaller, 1.5-inch dual Neodymium speakers along with IP67 water-resistance, 10-hour run-time, Bluetooth connectivity and an incredibly rugged frame.

The Mini H2O speaker, on the other hand, is a small, compact water-resistant speaker that you can take with you wherever you go. It has the smallest speakers of the bunch, at just 1-inch, but it still uses a dual Neodymium setup. The Mini H2O is also IP67 resistant.

The Life Jacket is priced at Php 7250, while the Mini H2O is priced at Php 1,995.
