Android Pie Now Available For The ASUS ZenFone 5

You’ll have to install it yourself

Want to have the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system on your ASUS ZenFone 5 and are willing to do the legwork to get it? Well, good news: the Taiwanese company has put up the update on its website for you to download and install on your phone, which you can get via this link. Be warned – the update is hefty, weighing in at around 1.1GB so make sure you’re on a non-metered connection before downloading.

ASUS ZenFone 5 Review: Long Awaited Comeback

Getting Android Pie on the ZenFone 5 is easy, just download the file in this link to a microSD card, enter recovery mode, choose “apply updates from microSD”, select the package and you should be good to go.

This is a manual update for the phone, so if you’re not keen on doing this yourself, it’d be best to just wait for the over-the-air update that’s probably coming soon.
