Apple acknowledges iPhone X and 13-inch MacBook Pro Issues

The recall involves faulty touchscreens and SSDs

Apple has issued a repair advisory involving certain iPhone X units and 13-inch MacBook Pros. The iPhone X advisory involves “ghost touch” issues where the phone’s touch panel does not respond properly. Apple did not disclose which iPhone Xs are affected, so if your unit has a wonky touch feedback, you should head over to your nearest Apple store for a replacement.

As for the 13-inch MacBook Pros, those manufactured June 2017 and June 2018 have an issue where data loss occurs due to faulty SSDs. Like with the iPhone X, you should have your MacBook Pro checked if it is part of the affected batch.

Prior to these, Apple has opened repair programs for the iPhone 8’s logic board, the MacBook and MacBook Pro’s keyboards, battery replacement for the non-Touchbar MacBook Pro, and “no service” issues on the iPhone 7.
