Apple Announces Red iPhone 7, 7 Plus

A striking new color for a cause

Apple isn’t releasing a brand new iPhone as of yet, but they did just announced a brand new color for their existing iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The new versions of their flagships, dubbed the (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 7, is a collaboration with (RED) which aims to reduce and ultimately prevent the spread of HIV and AIDs in the world.

Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products, from the original iPod nano (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition all the way to today’s lineup of Beats products and accessories for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “The introduction of this special edition iPhone in a gorgeous red finish is our biggest (PRODUCT)RED offering to date in celebration of our partnership with (RED), and we can’t wait to get it into customers’ hands.

The new phones are bone-stock iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, meaning aside from that striking new Red color, nothing has changed internally from the device launched last year. The new iPhones will come in two storage variants, at least in the PH: 128GB and 256GB. Prices for the two phones are as follows:

iPhone 7 RED

  • 128GB Php 43,990
  • 256GB Php 49,990

iPhone 7 Plus RED

  • 128GB Php 50,990
  • 256GB Php 56,990
