It didn’t receive too much attention back then but after seeing it up close and personal we can definitely say that it is another industrial engineering marvel from Apple. It’s been said that Apple’s strict design philosophy extends to the packaging of their products. That’s definitely felt with the new Apple iMac. Each time we opened a flap or pulled a compartment out there was a feeling of excitement and anticipation in the air. To unbox the iMac Mini we just popped open the top cover of the carton (after removing the tape keeping it sealed).

What greeted us was a small carton box. We checked out what was inside and found the bundled Apple Wireless Keyboard and the Apple Magic Mouse. I’m not 100% sure but I think you can request for wired peripherals if you don’t like the idea of regularly spending for batteries.

After the peripherals we saw the aluminum frame of the iMac covered in some sort of foam and plastic. We took it out of the box and started tearing away at the plastic. Once we finally saw the iMac we couldn’t help but say “Wow”. Unbelievably thin at the edges and gorgeous for a computing machine!

FYI just so you guys have an idea how crazy thin this is, the new iMac is 80% thinner than it’s predecessor (which was touted to be the thinnest back then, lol).

Absolutely STUNNING.

Definitely have to give Apple major props for the new iMac. To those wondering you can buy from the Apple Online Store for as low as Php62,xxx. The most affordable we’ve seen online though is the one being offered by Widget City for Php58,990.
