A more affordable iMac has just been released

If you’ve been eyeing an iMac but didn’t have the cash for the current crop of iMacs, you’re in luck, sort of: the company has just announced a newer, slightly cheaper iMac. How cheap? You’re looking at around $1,099 or around Php 48235 which is around $200 or Php 8776 cheaper than their previous low tier model.

Of course, there’s a trade-off, and depending on what you’re going to use it for, it may be a deal breaker for you. The newer, cheaper model has a dual-core Core I5 chip that runs at a measly 1.4GHz. By the way, that processor is the same one that runs on their higher-end 11-inch Air. When you grab the newer, lower priced iMac, you’re essentially getting the guts of a higher-tier Air in a body of a desktop, with more memory (8GB).

Expect this lower-end iMac to hit local stores in the near future.
