Brand new Apple gear incoming
There’s been a lot of rumors going around that Apple will be releasing a smaller, 4-inch iPhone in the same vein as their iPhone 5s in the next few weeks, a rumor that has been confirmed by other tech sites recently. Apparently the firm from Cupertino will be releasing a new iPhone model with a 4-inch display that’s been leaked as the iPhone SE as a replacement for the company’s aging iPhone 5s lineup.
The new phone will have a slightly curved display, A9 processor for better performance and an M9 chip for fitness tracking. The new phone is expected to look identical to the iPhone 5s, and will slot in the same price range.
Apple is also reportedly releasing a smaller, 9.7-inch iPad Pro to compliment the ginormous 12.9-inch model. This shouldn’t be a surprise, seeing that tablets with keyboards sell better than their physical key-challenged brethren. The iPad Pro is a great tablet for productivity, but its size limits its portability somewhat.
The new products are expected to be announced on March 21, a day before Apple takes on the US Government over its requests to make a version of its iOS operating system that would circumvent a security feature, giving the feds access to the phone of the San Bernadino shooter. We’re expecting Apple CEO Tim Cook to say something about their fight during the announcement as well.
