Apple Updates MacBook Air with Magic Keyboard, 10th-Gen Intel Processors

Time to say adios to the butterfly keyboard

After bringing back the scissor-switch keyboard with the 16-inch MacBook Pro in the form of the Magic Keyboard, Apple brings the more reliable keyboard mechanism in its 2020 refresh of the MacBook Air. With the Magic Keyboard, the 2020 MacBook Air returns to an inverted T arrangement of arrow keys.

For the internals, the MacBook Air now starts at 256GB, with an option for up to 2TB of SSD storage. The speakers have been upgraded with “immersive, wide stereo sound”, and the microphone is now a three-mic array for clearer voice capture. Performance gets a big boost, as the MacBook Air gets 10th-gen Intel processors with up to a 1.2GHz quad-core Core i7 with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.8GHz. The new processor, along with Intel Iris Plus Graphics, delivers at least two times better performance and 80% faster graphics performance than the previous-generation MacBook Air.

The 2020 MacBook Air starts at Php 57,990 for the dual-core Core-i3 model.
