The new flagship scores high in their tests
Apple’s new iPhones traditionally have excellent cameras in them, but according to camera testing outfit DxOMark, the shooters on the iPhone 8 Plus is the best in the market. DxOMark has officially concluded that the iPhone 8 Plus has “a main camera system truly worthy of a flagship phone,” scoring the highest mark ever in their review history at 94 – four points higher than the nearest Android device (HTC U11 and Google Pixel).
DxOMark found that Apple iPhone 8 Plus’ HDR performance impressive, and notes that it’s one of the best performances of any device they’ve ever tested. They also note that the bokeh function of the device is also the best they’ve ever seen in a mobile device, and the color rendering is very good under almost all lighting conditions. They did find a few issues though, the autofocus and exposure being a few but overall the iPhone 8 Plus has managed to impress the crew over at DxOMark. It’s also worth noting that the iPhone 8 Plus isn’t the real flagship for Apple this year – the iPhone X is slated to be available later in November, so it’ll be very interesting to see what kind of score that new flagship will get from them.
