More ultra-slim gaming laptops to choose from The Republic
ASUS expands its ROG Zephyrus line of ultra-slim gaming notebooks with the Zephyrus G and refreshed variants of the Zephyrus S and Zephyrus M.
The new Zephyrus G (GA502) aims to be the most affordable ultra-slim gaming notebook in the ASUS’ lineup. The new model comes with a 15-inch Full HD display with a 120hz refresh rate, Ryzen 7-3750H CPU, GTX 1660Ti GPU, up to 24GB DDR4 RAM, and up to 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. Compared to other Zephyrus models, the Zephyrus G keeps things subtle with a white backlit keyboard.
ASUS claims that the Zephyrus G (GA502) can last for up to 7 hours with its 76Whr battery. Other features include a Smart Amplifier, 802.11ac 1×1 wifi, and Bluetooth 4.2.
On the other hand, ASUS refreshed both the Zephyrus M (GU502) and Zephyrus S (GX502) with the latest 9th-generation Intel Core i7 processors and the newest NVIDIA GPUs. The Zephyrus M (GU502) comes with a GTX 1660Ti GPU, USB-C charging, Dual NVMe SSD with RAID ) support, and ESS Sabre DAC. The higher-end Zephyrus S (GX502) gets an RTX 2070 GPU with ROG Boost, ASUS’ trademark Active Aerodynamic System, and a 15-inch Pantone-validated IPS-level display with 240hz refresh rate and 3ms response time.
Rounding up the updated Zephyrus line are refreshed versions of the Zephyrus S GX531 and GX701 with the latest 9th-generation Intel Core i7 processors and new display options: a 15-inch Full HD SDR display with 240hz refresh rate and 3ms response time for the GX531, and a 17-inch Full HD HDR display with 144hz refresh rate and 3ms response time for the GX701.
