ASUS’ New Power Bank Can Even Charge Notebooks

Just in case you forgot to charge at home

It’s hard to be excited for a power bank because let’s face it, power banks haven’t been sexy since 2015. But we’ve been geeking out with ASUS’ Zenpower Pro PD since we got it a few weeks ago because of its sheer versatility. This 13600mAh power bank can literally fast charge anything – from phones to tablets and yes, even notebooks.

The ZenPower Pro PD can charge anything that uses a USB port, and ASUS throws in adapters so you can use it to charge your notebook too. The ZenPower Pro PD can charge a variety of notebooks and ASUS includes two of the most commonly used connectors in the package.

So how will you know if your notebook can use this? Well, if your notebook’s power brick has a voltage output of either 15V or 20V, then the ZenPower Pro PD can charge it, though don’t expect to fully top up your device since the capacity isn’t huge. Instead, think of it as an emergency top up to before your notebook hits the wall charger.

Lest we forget, the ZenPower Pro PD can also fast charge phones, tablets, and other devices as well. It uses a regular USB plug and a Type-C connector. The Type-C connector is both input and output, so you can charge it at home using the same connector as well.

The ZenPower Pro PD also uses ASUS’ PowerSafe Protection tech, which protects against temperature, sudden resets, short circuits, overcharge among others to keep your devices safe.

The ZenPower Pro PD is priced at Php 3,995.
