It’s been a long time coming, but at least it’s (almost) here: ASUS has officially launched their long awaited Zenfone Zoom cameraphone in their home turf of Taiwan today.

There’s a few changes that’s been applied since we last saw the Zoom. For starters, the Zoom now has a geniune leather back that wasn’t apparent when it was first unveiled to the world. ASUS has also decided to put in a 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 and 2.5GHz Intel Atom Z3590 combination for the Zoom, as well as a 64GB/128GB storage option for the device.
In Taiwan, the Zenfone Zoom 2.3GHz/4GB/64GB version will set you back NT 13,990 or Php 20.2K while the 2.5GHz/4GB/128GB version will cost NT 15990 or Php 23K. While we have no idea of local release as of yet, the Taiwan release means a local launch isn’t that far behind.
