ASUS Pushes Android Nougat Update To ZenFone 3 Zoom

Android N on the way!

It took a while, but it’s finally here – ASUS has officially announced the arrival of Android N on their photography-focused smartphone, the ZenFone 3 Zoom. The new update brings the ZF3 Zoom to Android Nougat 7.1 from Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and adds a few new features to the fore.

Aside from giving the phone sweet, sweet Nougat, the new update also adds RAW support for the device, as well as Portrait mode functionality, BeautyLive feature (which is the same as the real-time beautification feature on the ZenFone Live) as well as several performance and bug fixes. ASUS has also removed a few redundant apps for ZenUI, but there’s still way too much bloatware left on the phone even after the update for our taste.

Anyway, if you own a ZF3 Zoom, you should have gotten a notification earlier today. If not, go to your setting > about > system update to manually check for the update. You can read our ZenFone 3 Zoom review here.
