There’s a lot of hype for ASUS’ new gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone II. The phone scored around 2 million pre-orders for the device in China, and today the company scored another win for the high-end mobile gaming device. The company is reporting that they managed to sell 10,000 phones in less than 2 minutes – around 72 seconds to be precise – during a recent flash sale.
We’re not sure which version of the ROG Phone II was sold this way, since there’s the regular version with a price tag of around 46K, and a cheaper, JD.com version costing a little over half of that, at around 25.9K. What is remarkable is the strength of ASUS’ gaming device in China, though we’re still not sure if that popularity will translate well over to western markets.
