ASUS X00GD Gets its TENAA Certification

ASUS X00GD Gets its TENAA Certification

ASUS has pretty much confirmed that we’ll be seeing the newest iteration of the Zenfone Zoom at CES 2017. While we wait for the official announcements as to what it possibly has under the hood and how much the dual camera equipped Zoom will cost, a new smartphone from the Taiwanese brand has just gotten its TENAA certification.

Designated as the ASUS X00GD, this smartphone is listed to have a 1.5GHz octa-core SoC, multiple storage and RAM configurations, plus a 4,850 mAh battery; a tad larger than that of their current big-phone, the ASUS Zenfone 3 Max and on par with the release specs of the Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom. The X00GD will also run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Here’s what we know about its specs so far:

ASUS X00GD Specifications

  • 1.5GHz octa-core processor
  • 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM
  • 5.2-inch HD Display
  • 16GB/32GB/64GB of storage
  • 13-megapixel rear camera
  • 8-megapixel front camera
  • Fingerprint scanner
  • 4,850mAh battery
  • Android 7.0 Nougat

The photo of the ASUS X00GD suggest that it will have an all metal build, 2.5D arc glass to protect its display, and its fingerprint scanner will be embedded in its home button. As these details are just released through the TENAA website, there are no details regarding the device’s pricing and availability.
