Qualcomm introduced us to their newest SoC at CES 2017, the Snapdragon 835. The smaller, yet nimble 835 is said to perform 27 percent faster and require 40 percent less power than the Snapdragon 820 and is expected to ship with this year’s crop of flagship devices. Xiaomi has always had a knack for bringing us high-end devices on the more affordable side of the pricing spectrum and benchmarks for a phone, designated as the Xiaomi MIX EVO, have been spotted with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 at its core along with 4G of RAM.
Sadly, not much else is known about the details of the Xiaomi MIX EVO at this point aside from parts of its processing package and the fact that it will be running Android Marshmallow. Some speculate that given the “MIX” naming convention, it could be a souped up version of the Xiaomi Mi MIX; a phone that continues to wow with its edge-less display. We can expect more details about the MIX EVO soon, as information like this tend to snowball once a bit trickles out.
