Meet the New BlackBerry Bold 9790!
Research In Motion (RIM) just launched two new smartphones here in Jakarta, Indonesia. The first is the BlackBerry Bold 9790. Think of it as the little brother of the BlackBerry Bold 9900. It has almost the same specs (1Ghz processor vs the Bold 9900’s 1.2Ghz processor) but the main difference is the form factor. Not everybody was happy with the size of the Bold 9900 which was more reminiscent of the BlackBerry Bold 9000. The BlackBerry Bold 9790 is a sleeker, more powerful, and thinner upgrade of the BlackBerry Bold 9700/9780 product line.

One very good thing about this new product from RIM is the price. Here in Jakarta it will cost 4,599,000.00 IDR. Directly converted that’s roughly Php22,250. That’s a more affordable price compared to the BlackBerry Bold 9900’s Php31,690 price tag. No word yet on official availability and pricing here in the Philippines. Hopefully it ships before Christmas though. 🙂
