BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 OS

No more grayed out icons of Calendar, E-mail, and Contacts!

The BlackBerry PlayBook is finally getting it’s much awaiting software update this coming February. The BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 OS will bring a bunch of features that people have been clamoring for since it’s launch last year. This update will make the PlayBook a complete tablet that will be fully usable not just by people who own BlackBerry smartphones. Actually I think even BlackBerry Smartphone users will appreciate this a lot because it’s actually quite bothersome having to use BlackBerry Bridge all the time just so I can check my stuff on the PlayBook.

BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 OS Features

  • Native Calendar
  • Native E-mail
  • Native Contacts
  • BlackBerry Remote

RIM said this will roll-out in February. I hope the roll-out will be on schedule and it will be global in scale!
