BlackBerry Torch 9800

BlackBerry Torch 9800

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is Research In Motion’s first slider touchscreen smartphone. It packs a modest 624MHz CPU speed, 512mb internal flash memory, 5.0MP camera, and a half-VGA+ display (360×480 at 188ppi). It already has the BlackBerry 6 OS out of the box. In terms of specs it definitely doesn’t measure up yet to the latest touchscreen smartphones like the iPhone 4 or the LG Optimus but it’s still one of the better phones shipped by RIM.

For postpaid plans you can get the BlackBerry Torch 9800 for free at Globe’s plan 3799. If you go to gray market vendors you can get it for P25,000-P26,000 but it will probably have a T-mobile logo at the bottom since it’s “pirated” for the US.
