Blind Camera Comparo: Huawei P10 Plus and iPhone 7 Plus

Time to Cast Your Votes Once Again!

Last week, we started a poll to see which phone took better photographs, the Huawei P10 Plus or the Samsung Galaxy S8+. You guys have spoken and majority of you thought that the Leica approved cameras on the P10 Plus churned out better snaps; winning 57-percent of the vote.

This week, we’re going to be pitting the Huawei P10 Plus against another contender, the iPhone 7 Plus, in another blind camera comparison. It was raining when we took both phones out for a spin, so most of the photos were taken under cloudy conditions or indoors. We also took one of your suggestions to include a 100-percent crop of some images for you to make a better decision. .

All the photos we’ve taken are in Auto with no manual tweaking involved. No EXIF data too!

Here we go!

  1. If that sample Pikachu Portrait-A shot is of Huawei P10 Plus, OMG, you guys don’t know how to use ‘Portrait Mode’. Here’s hoping you didn’t intentionally make it appear Huawei can’t produce good bokeh shots.

  2. For me its, Phone A, rich colors than B, although the details are both superb, its just the Phone B being less saturated makes it the under the dog, the detail and color are vibrant in A.

  3. All I can see are under exposed and over exposed shots. Maybe because the 2 phones are in auto mode. Can’t have enough balance in auto mode.

But Leica optic equipped smartphone will win this comparison test. Let’s see how the results will turn out.

    1. that’s the point of this test, even you are not a professional photographer like me, using the auto mode will make a big impact selling a phone. not all people are techie to set a camera of a Phone,

  4. Good Point, but this is a test, you’ll notice even both have different angle, phoneA still rich in color, even you are pointing using your hand, its still the same though.
