Canon Brings its Next-Generation PowerShot Cameras to the Philippines

Two feature-packed compact cameras catering to different audiences

Canon formally brings the PowerShot G7x Mark III and G5x Mark II to the Philippines. The two new compact cameras are packed with features such as an all-new 20.2-megapixel 1-inch stacked CMOS sensor, DIGIC 8 processors, 125-12800 base ISO, a 3-inch fully articulating LCD, and crop-free 4K 25p/30p video recording.

They differ in terms of their audience. The PowerShot G7x Mark III is aimed towards vloggers with its built-in microphone jack and YouTube livestreaming feature with up to Full HD video streaming. It comes with a 4.2x Image Stabilized zoom lens with an f/1.8-2.8 aperture opening.

On the other hand, the PowerShot G5x Mark II is aimed at serious photographers with its built-in pop-up electronic viewfinder and 5x Image Stabilized zoom lens with an f/1.8-2.8 aperture opening.

The PowerShot G5x Mark II and PowerShot G7x Mark III retail for Php 54,998 and Php 46,998 respectively. Those opting for the Powershot G7x Mark II can add Php 2,000 for the vloggers kit that includes an Ulanzi bracket with cold shoe, a LensGo L322 multi-function desktop tripod, and a Boya BY-MM1 cardioid microphone.

Both cameras are available for pre-order from August 16-31 and come with a 24/7 vlogger service support that includes pickup and delivery in case of repairs, service unit usage, 3-year warranty, and a lens and accessories loan program.
