Canon’s New PowerShot Cameras Can Shoot 4K, Full HD 120FPS Video

Canon updates its PowerShot line of premium compact cameras with the G7X Mark III and G5X Mark II. Shared features between both cameras include a 20-megapixel 1-inch CMOS sensor paired with a DIGIC 8 processor. The combo makes both of them capable of shooting 4K video at 30FPS, Full HD video at 60 and 120FPS without any sensor cropping. Both cameras can shoot up to 20FPS with a maximum ISO of 12,800.

Other common features include a 3-inch 180-degree tilting touchscreen, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, USB-C charging, and Microphone jack.

The G7X Mark III comes with a 4.2x zoom lens (24-100mm f/1.8-2.8 35mm equivalent) with built-in optical image stabilization. Marketed as a vlogging camera, the G7X Mark III can record and stream live video directly via YouTube.

The G5X Mark II adds a 2.36-million-dot, 0.39-inch pop-up OLED electronic viewfinder and comes with a 5x zoom lens (24-120mm f/1.8-2.8 35mm equivalent with built-in optical image stabilization. Other unique features include panoramic mode and touch and drag AF.

The G5X Mark II and G7X Mark III are priced at $750(~Php 38.6k) and $900(~Php 46.2k) respectively
