We sit down for an exclusive interview with CD-R King
CD-R King is a household name in the Philippines. Starting out as a reseller of blank CDs and DVDs back in the day, the company is now a massive multi-million enterprise, selling everything from CDs, thumb drives, solar panels and at one point, windmills. But as prolific as the company is in offering products, they’ve always shied away from marketing, and they’ve usually stayed away from the limelight unlike other pinoy brands.
Until now that is. We had a chance to interview one of CD-R King’s top guys in the form of Daryle Ganchua, their regional manager. We talked to Daryle about all sorts of stuff, from the most unique product that they sell, their defect rate and their focus on renewable energy. But what really impressed us was their commitment to bringing all the newest tech and toys to the Philippines at an affordable price range, at the cost of hefty profit margins.
“We don’t get a big profit margin because we want the Filipino people to [get] the latest technology that we can give to them,” he said.
